The cosmetic procedures that are available at the dentist’s office are generally high reward and low risk. Due to the non-invasive nature of treatments that are designed to boost smile aesthetics, facial appearance can be dramatically improved after a single appointment. These procedures generally require no downtime, and side effects and complications are modest. Our dentist at Kings Dental, Dr. Vidya Suri, also uses the highest quality materials to improve upon or replicate natural tooth structure. So, your new and improved smile also looks natural. It doesn’t look “fake,” or “too perfect.” Treatments skillfully administered at our office in Garland, TX are also a great investment in your self-confidence, youthful and vibrant appearance, and in your overall health and wellbeing.
Options to make over your smile (and much more)
Our patients are unique. Each individual has a different “starting point” and different needs. These needs help to determine the most appropriate treatments to add vitality to your teeth and gums, and to support lasting oral health. After Dr. Suri examines your mouth and talks about what you like (and don’t like), she may recommend the following procedures. Some of these treatments may be combined. All elective procedures also require that you have healthy teeth and gums. So, oral conditions such as active gum disease and tooth decay must be resolved before moving forward with treatment.
- Teeth whitening – Professional-strength gels and customized whitening trays that are designed by dentists ensure that stains are lifted safely and comfortably. When worn as instructed by your dentist, the trays deliver powerful, proven whitening ingredients to the teeth evenly. So, your results look natural and pleasing to the eye.
- Veneers – Chips, slight fractures, gaps, stubborn stains, shape-related irregularities, and wear and tear can all be corrected with direct veneers (bonding) or indirect veneers. Bonding can be completed in a single visit, and involves applying and shaping a composite resin material to your teeth to cover up the imperfections mentioned above. The resin is matched to the color of your surrounding teeth. Indirect veneers involve preparing dental ceramics such as porcelain. So, these materials look like healthy tooth enamel in color and overall appearance. They correct the same cosmetic concerns as their direct counterparts; however, veneers are made from impressions or models of your teeth. They are securely fixed in place to a natural tooth that has been slightly reduced. So, the veneer doesn’t stick out too much and looks and feels natural in your mouth. Our veneers get noticed for all the right reasons, not because they project or make your smile look “toothy” and mega-watt bright.
- Restorations – Whitening and veneers generally improve upon natural tooth structure. Dental restorations do the same, but they also involve building up a damaged tooth with dental materials that are indistinguishable in appearance and function from natural teeth. We at Kings Dental use durable composite resin or porcelain to replace portions of a decayed or otherwise damaged tooth. Our team is adept at preparing and placing fillings, inlays, onlays, crowns, and other restorations that are conservative and preserve maximum healthy tooth structure. In turn, these restorations look and last as “nature intended,” with good oral care at home and visits to our office.
We strive to empower you, to make well-informed decisions about your oral health through individual consultation.

Great oral hygiene promotes beautiful teeth. Professional cleanings at our office, for instance, help to remove stains and also remove stubborn hardened plaque. They also leave your teeth feeling super-fresh! During your recall appointments, you can get a fresh supply of whitening gel as part of our Whitening for Life Program. This program helps you to keep your teeth looking their best with ongoing and convenient touch-ups. We can also discuss ways to prevent the need for repairs or more dental work; for instance, habits such as grinding your teeth, chronic ice-chewing and fingernail-biting, can damage veneers. Oral appliances such as night-guards may be beneficial, or you may protect your treated teeth with simple behavioral changes. Even cosmetic dental procedures can have a tremendous positive impact on your oral health; you may find it’s easier to keep your teeth clean when gaps that trap food are no longer present. Cosmetic dental treatments can also be a strong motivator. You’ll do everything you can to protect the beauty of your improved smile!
